Principal Governing Body
The principal governing body of the Illinois Venezuelan Alliance is formed by four high-caliber professionals in their fields of medicine, law, and human resources. The President (Dr. Jose Balboa), Vice-President (Francisco Sandoval), Secretary (Karem Daw), and Treasurer (Luis Jose Castro) are Venezuelans residing in different counties in the state of Illinois. They are devoted to the mission and vision of IVA and the fastest-growing community, Venezuelans.

The Board of Directors of the Illinois Venezuelan Alliance is formed by professional individuals with a high level of expertise in their fields of education, engineering, medicine, law, public relations, journalism, religious leadership, and not-for-profit organizations. The members reside in the state of Illinois in different counties and cities. Their years of experience in the state of Illinois and the United States make them deserving of the honor of being a member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Venezuelan Alliance.

Our Purpose
To establish and maintain an alliance of individuals and organizations whose common purpose is to benefit and work for the well-being of the Venezuelan community in the state of Illinois through four common pillars: (a) Civic Engagement; (b) Educational Participation; (c) Humanitarian Aid and Charitable Work; and (d) Advocacy.
Our Mission
To serve, provide humanitarian aid, educate, civic engagement, and advocate for the Venezuelan community residing in the state of Illinois by working together to strengthen our positive presence in the community.
Our Vision
By 2026, Illinois Venezuelan Alliance will be recognized nationally and internationally as a leading non-profit organization in providing social services, humanitarian aid, educational development, community engagement and advocacy for the Venezuelan community in the state of Illinois and in the United States.
